Situated on a steep slope, about 3 km drive from Trongsa downtown, the lodge is remarkably positioned offering scintillating scenery of Trongsa Dzong, Ta Dzong and the Black Mountains. The guests keen on walking tours, can follow the footpath below the lodge directly down to Ta Dzong and to the town, enjoying the nature and magnificent view all around. Established in 2001, Phuenzi Guest House is one of the first tourist friendly lodge in Trongsa. Surrounded by lush evergreen forest, since its creation, it has been a hotspot for nature lovers and bird watchers. The guesthouse also has a simple yet beautiful garden where guests can find seasonal variety of flowers, vegetables and fruits. The establishment offers colourfully presented 32 rooms segregated in Standard (17 rooms) and Deluxe (15 rooms) categories with great views of Trongsa Dzong, Ta Dzong (Museum) and the deep valley of Mangde Chhu, surrounded by black mountains of Jigme Singye National Park. Spacious deluxe rooms are preferable owing to its size and eagle-eye view of Trongsa attractions while standard rooms are relatively smaller but still cosy and similar views from balcony. The lodge boasts tastefully decorated restaurant displaying the arts & crafts of the region and serving quality Bhutanese, Indian and Continental cuisine. Adjacent to the restaurant is cozy coffee room, which the guest use to read over tea, conduct discussions or exclusive celebrations like birthday, anniversary etc. The balcony at the restaurant is a haven for photographers to capture pristine views all around.
