Darbargadh Poshina – A Heritage Home set in the tribal lands of the Aravalli’s. We the owners of this ancestral fort, invite you to explore the Adivasi and Garasia tribal culture of North Gujarat and South Rajasthan, enjoy fresh home cooked meals, featuring recipes passed on from generation to generation, and indulge in the hospitality of a family that ruled Poshina for eight generations before independence. The rooms are graced with antique furniture and fitted with modern facilities. Guests can partake of extravagant and traditional full course meals in a luxurious dining hall. Tribal dances, camel cart rides, farmhouse picnics, tribal village safaris, archery demonstrations and local sightseeing tours are the many things you can do at Darbargadh. Though we call our place a heritage hotel, the ambiance is that of being part of a house party at friends home. In this home away from home environment, we offer 25 rooms with period furniture and antique artifacts. Each of the rooms has recently renovated baths with western fixtures and hot showers. The hostesses personally supervises the housekeeping and cooking, ensuring guests get the best of Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine adapted to individual tastes. Subtly spiced for westerners, made without onion and garlic for Jains, heavily spiced for those who want it that way, and so forth.
