Ahmedabad is the capital city of the state famous for its Calico Museum of Textiles, displaying antique and modern Indian fabrics. The famous Jama Masjid was built in the 15th century. It has a huge courtyard and a columned design. Kutch is a very vibrant city with a lot of colours and culture and interesting topography of a rustic nature. The meaning of the name Kutch can be literally translated to wet and dry and symbolically, tortoises are also called Kutch in Sanskrit language. The tour covers some of the most popular tourist destinations such as Somnath temple, Akshardham temple and Bhavnath Temple. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Ahmedabad visiting the Calico Museum β the museum displays a magnificent collection of rare textiles dating back to the 17th century, numerous mosques like Sidi Sayed Mosque it is the last of the major mosques to be built in Ahmedabad under the Mughal rule. The Jama Masjid built in 1423 during the reign of Ahmedabadβs founder Ahmed Shah I. While all around the mosque lies the hectic frenzy of the center of the old city. and Gandhi Ashram β was once the house of Mahatma Gandhi and it was from here that Mahatma Gandhi began his famous βDandi Marchβ in 1930 to protest against the Salt Tax imposed by the British and also visit the Hathi Singh Jain Temple.

Today we will depart by Private Vehicle for Dasada. Dasada is located on the edge of little Rann of Kutch. Dasada is known for bird watching and only place in India where wild ass can be found. There are several bird watching sites around the area.
Enroute visit to Modhera Sun Temple is the ruins of an ancient temple devoted to the Sun God Surya, it is set along the coast of the river Pushpavati in the Modhera village. The temple premises are divided into 3 major components: Gudhamandapa(shrine hall), Sabhamandapa(assembly hall), and Kunda(reservoir), the Kund is lined with 108 miniature shrines on the steps of the Kund and Patan a treasure trove of architectural gems and ancient temples that has a history dating back to the medieval period and visit the Patola silk weaving. Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, covering an area of 4954 sq.km is one of the most fascinating and unique landscapes in the entire world. Wild Ass sanctuary located in this Rann is the home of Asiatic Wild Ass or khur, one of the most endangered species in the world. Due to its strategic location on bird migration route and its connection with the dynamic Gulf of Kutch, this sanctuary also provides an important feeding, breeding and roosting habitat for a large number of birds. Many parts of the Little Rann of Kutch provide ideal breeding grounds for some of the largest flocks of greater and lesser flamingos. The habitat of Little Rann of Kutch varies from saline desert plains, rocky and thorn scrub, arid grasslands, plateaus to lakes and marshes. There are around 74 elevated plateaus or islands locally called as bets in this sanctuary.

GATEWAY OF INDIA - Situated on Apollo Bunder, The Gateway of India was built to commemorate the landing of King George V and Mary in December 1911, Erected in 1924; The Gateway was designed by George Wittet in an Indo Saracenic style with influence from Gujarat. It is built from local sandstone, has a central hall with a low dome and two adjoining side halls also with low domes. The Gateway was the former landing place for passengers entering Mumbai. RAJABAI TOWER, BOMBAY HIGH COURT, MARINE DRIVE - Eulogized by Bollywood, Marine Drive caresses the seashore from Nariman Point to the foot of the Malabar Hill. Passing Chowpatty Beach, Marine Drive is also famous as the Queen's Necklace. One of the busiest roads in Mumbai, it is also one of the breeziest due to its proximity to the sea, CHOWPATTY BEACH, HANGING GARDEN, MANI BHAVAN, CHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS, FORT - The Fort area in Mumbai is choc-a-bloc with old Victorian, Gothic buildings. An important financial and commercial center this area is always full of activity. The BSE or the Bombay Stock Exchange on Dalal Street is also located in this area. THE JEHANGIR ART GALLERY, COLABA and DHOBI GHAT- A unique feature of Mumbai, the dhobi is a traditional laundryman, who will collect your dirty linen, wash it, and return it neatly pressed to your doorstep. All for a pittance. The "laundries" are called "Ghats": row upon row of concrete wash pens, each fitted with its own flogging stone. The clothes are soaked in sudsy water, thrashed on the flogging stones, then tossed into huge vats of boiling starch and hung out to dry. Next they are ironed and piled into neat bundles. The most famous of these Dhobi Ghats is at Saat Rasta near Mahalaxmi Station where almost two hundred dhobis and their families work together in what has always been a hereditary occupation
